Akihiro Sato will donate part of Survivor Prize to Gawad Kalinga

WE ASKED AKIHIRO Sato at the Casa Pura party of his manager, Jonas Gaffud of Mercator Artist and Model Agency, if he has received his P3M. Aki won the grand prize from “Survivor Philippines”. “Not yet, kaya panay advance ko muna kay Jonas,” he says. “But they will pay me na raw this week and part of it, I’d donate to Gawad Kalinga.”

Aki has just returned from applying to other agencies in Bali, Indonesia where he also got do some surfing. While there, I realize I miss the Philippines so much and now that I’m back, I’m glad I have work again as I’m with Richard Gutierrez in ‘Captain Barbell’. I also have new endorsements to shoot. I’m also serious in learning how to speak Tagalog more fluently and in wanting to be a naturalized Filipino citizen so I already asked a lawyer to help me.”

Jonas is thankful to Annette Gozon of GMA-7 for giving breaks not only to Aki but his other talents as well. Daniel Matsunaga is in “Grazilda”, Fabio Ide is in “Comedy Bar’, Ervic Vijandre will also be in “Captain Barbell” and JC Tiuseco will also be in a new soap. He’s also managing Bb. Pilipinas Venus Raj and runnerup Nicollette Henson. “This year is good for us but may sadness din kasi my other bet for stardom, the late Melody Gersbach, perished in a tragic car crash,” he says. “But I’m introducing another model actor, Jideo Muraoka, who’ll be the missing link sa Brazilians ko para maging quartet sila. I’m also building up two new models next year, Eric Soriano and Mikael Daez. Abangan nyo sila.”
