TV5 IS SO happy that the comebacking kiddie show, “Batibot”, has topped all shows in its slot since it returned on the air last Saturday. “Slowly but surely, we’re inching our way up in the ratings, what with ‘Willing-Willie’ now also a toprater on primetime and our Saturday shows also topping the surveys,” says PR exec Peachy Guioguio who celebrated her 41st birthday at TV5’s Christmas party for the press last Thursday. “This weekend, we start our shows with special Christmas themes. In ‘Pidol’s Wonderland’, a contest for the best Christmas decorations is held in a town and the people became so engrossed in topping each other’s decors na nauwi lang sa payabangan at alitan among neighbors. It carries a very valid message that the real meaning of Christmas is not in expensive gifts or ornaments but in the sincerity of the people in appreciating the birth of Jesus Christ, as seen in the boy Ariel, played by Julius Gareza, whose very simple lantern is the one considered best by the Lord. It also stars Ian de Leon and Sexbomb Izzy as his parents, with Deborah Sun, Archie Adamos and Gene Padilla as Father Christmas or Santa Claus.”
