RAYMART SANTIAGO says it’s not true his wife Claudine Barretto is hiding from the press so she didn’t appear at the “Jillian: Namamasko Po” presscon. Someone even wrote she probably felt insecure because it’s Jillian who plays the title role and the kid is now more popular than her. “She was really drained in shooting several big dramatic scenes sa taping the day before so sumama ang pakiramdam niya,” he says. “Why would she hide from the press or feel insecure about Jillian. Grabe naman.”
He’s very pleased with his role as Bernard in “Bantatay”. “I’ve played other roles before in soaps pero ito talaga ang mas nagmarka ng husto, yung multo akong sumapi sa aso at nag-aalaga sa mga naiwang anak niya,” he says. “The story became more interesting ng sumali ako as Bantay sa Dog Olympics so that the money I’d win can help my kids in their financial problems. Doon ko makikita uli ang missing wife ko, si Gelli de Belen as Carmela na may amnesia naman dahil kinokontrol siya ni Gary Estrada as Simon at hindi makilala ang aming mga anak. As Bantay, I get into a contest with another dog, si Spike. Throught her third eye, magkakaroon naman ng chance si Jennica Garcia as Joanna na makita ako as a ghost pero mahuhuli ako ng villains, Kier Legaspi and Jim Pebanco, who cage me with other dogs.”
