The filmfest awards night will be held at the Meralco Theatre on Sunday. The original hosts are ABS-CBN stars

Toni Gonzaga. But since the festival’s carrier TV station is GMA-7, they backed out and have been replaced by Ruffa, Richard and Raymond Gutierrez, who don’t mind even if they’re just a second choice.
“Kahit wala kaming entry, we’re glad to be of service to the local film industry and be a part of the annual filmfest,” says Ruffa, who also comes from the rival Kapatid network,TV5.
We’re told Ai Ai and Kris will still be part of the awards night as presenters since both of them have entries, “Tanging Ina Mo” and “Dalaw”, in the festival.
