Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz to honeymoon in Beijing

JENNYLYN MERCADO and Dennis Trillo will go to Hongkong right after the Metro filmfest awards night where people predict their entry, “Rosario”, will win a lot of trophies. Shaina Magdayao, in turn, will go to Beijing with inamorato John Lloyd Cruz. “Pero babalik din kami before the new year kasi pareho kaming may taping,” she says. “Siya sa ‘Imortal’ at ako, sa ‘Alynna’.”

Shaina is the first actress to be directed in a movie by actor-turned-director Zoren Legaspi. This is in the “Mamanyika” episode of “Shake, Rattle & Roll 12”. So how is Zoren as a director? “Magaling. He knows what he’s doing. Iba kasi ang acting na kinasanayan ko sa TV kaysa acting sa movie, lalo ito na horror film. Lagi niya kong gina-guide para hindi ako mag-overact dahil pag sobra, baka instead matakot ang viewers, matawa lang. I’d say actor’s director siya sa pag-alalay niya sa’kin. I play the daughter of Ricky Davao at may gap kami as I blame sa pagkamatay ng mother ko, Jackielou Blanco, sa car accident. Lagi akong dumadalaw sa sementeryo with my younger sister na nakapulot naman doon ng doll na possessed pala by the evil spirit of Rita Avila kaya nagulo ang buhay namin.”
