Sharon Cuneta will have a birthday concert in Araneta

SHARON CUNETA hosted her own Christmas Party for the press at Crowne Plaza last Friday afternoon. She gave away heart-shaped carrot cakes that she herself baked from her own secret recipe. We’ve tasted it and it’s very good. “I wanted to give not just the usual Christmas basket but something na pinaghirapan ko talagang gawin for you,” she says. “Labor of love yan at di ako natulog for two nights just to finish baking all of them. Andami ko na ngang orders through Tita Fanny (Serrano) for this kasi nasasarapan talaga sila. Sa bago niyang shop, he’ll have a coffee shop and I’ll supply the cakes and some pasta.”

Sharon came with youngest daughter Miel who’s quite big for a six year old. When asked what she’d want to be when she grows up, her answer was: “I want to be an actress and a dancer.”
“Naku, showbiz na,” Sharon laughs. “Okay baby, I will make alalay to you. Sa’kin okay lang kung mag-showbiz sila ng Ate Frankie niya, ewan ko lang sa daddy nilang si Sen. Kiko.”

Sharon proved to be the most generous of all the stars who hosted parties this season. She raffled off cash prizes like P40,000 and P50,000, bigger than TV networks whose biggest prizes were only P30,000. “I have many things to be thankful for so gusto ko rin magpasalamat sa press who’ve been supporting me all these years. Next year, I’ll make movies again. Then I’ll have a birthday concert at the Araneta Coliseum on January 11. Tuloy rin ang ‘Star Power’, “The Biggest Loser’ and Celebrations by Sharon.”
