“I’m also happy to be with TV5 and I know I’ll have fun doing ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ since I’m comfortable with our directors, Eric Quizon and Joyce Bernal,” she says. “It’s nice to know I’ll be in good hands and I get the chance to act with Ms. Susan Roces as my mom. Anak ko naman si Alex Gonzaga rito. I’m also happy that my talent fee here is bigger than what I got before.”
Alice denies reports that she and her graphic artist husband have separated. “I have his blessings to come home and act again. I’ll go back home to him in Vancouver after the show.”
Alice was crowned Bb. Young Pilipinas in 1987 and joined showbizin 1988, introduced in Ishmael Bernal’s “Nagbabagang Luha”. She was launched as “Dyesebel” in 1989. Also in the cast of “Babaeng Hampaslupa” are Jay Manalo, Freddie Webb, Bing Loyzaga, Celso Ad Castillo, Karel Marquez, Alwyn Uytingco, Mart Escudero, Diane Medina, Susan Africa, Vandolph and Jenny Quizon.
We just hope this won’t suffer the same fate of “My Driver Sweet Lover” that didn’t rate as viewers are confused about its exact time schedule is since “Willing-Willie” is allowed to go overtime on air as long as it wants to.
