Aljur Abrenica prepares diligently for his revealing scenes in Machete

ALJUR ABRENICA’S “Machete” is airing on January 24 yet but GMA-7 is now promoting it. He was featured in the Unli-Tsismis segment of “Showbiz Central” with one of his two leading ladies, Bela Padilla, to plug the show. Pia Guanio (who just returned from a brief Shanghai vacation with an alleged new non-showbiz BF) asked him how hard it is for him to play the plum role of Machete. “Sobrang hirap for me kasi kailangan ng time and discipline to work out para sa pagpapakita ng hubad na katawan ko rito in most of my scenes as a tribal warrior,” he says.

Bela adds that during meal time, Aljur just watches them as he can’t eat what everyone else is eating. “May dala kasi akong special food for me like kamote, tuna and chicken breast,” he says. “Yun lang ang puede kong kainin.”

Is it true he and newcomer Gwen Zamora went on a date after the GMA New Year Christmas countdown at MOA? “After the countdown, I went with my family to our resort in Batangas City where I train regularly. Gwen went naman to see her father. Text-text lang kami. Walang date.”

”Showbiz Central” conducted a poll as to what is the viewer’s favorite story of 2010 and the one they like the most is the happy ending of the Regine Velasquez-Ogie Alcasid romance that culminated in their wedding on Dec. 22 in Batangas.
