Alwyn Uytingco working with Jennica Garcia's ex-BF Martin Escudero

ALWYN UYTINGCO is now with TV5. After playing a supporting role in “BFGF” to his lookalike, Kean Cipriano, that ends today, he now plays leading man to Alex Gonzaga in “Babaeng Hampaslupa” starting February 7. “Ako’ng kapareha niya sa Smokey Mountain noong mahirap pa siya,” he says. “Noong yumaman siya, we’ll have a love triangle with Martin Escudero.”

Alwyn's girlfriend is Jennica Garcia of GMA-7, whose first BF was Martin. How is it working with his GF’s ex? “Okay lang. Wala kaming ilangan. Pero siempre, we don’t talk about Jennica at all. Out of respect lang, di ba? Alangan namang pagkuwentuhan pa naming yung past nila.”

He’s very effective as the gay son of Ai Ai de las Alas in the “Tanging Ina” series on films and TV. Is it true he got stereotyped at ABS because of that? “I don’t know. Pero lately nga, I’m not doing anything with them. My last was a supporting role sa pilot week ng ‘Imortal’. I’m now managed by Manny Valera and no longer by Star Magic. When the offer to do shows TV5 came, tinanggap ko kasi I need to work, but it doesn’t mean I’m closing my doors sa ABS.”
