DINGDONG DANTES reveals he had qualms doing some rough scenes with Regine Velasquez in “I Heart You Pare”. “She’s nice to work with at swak agad kami sa trabaho but in the scene na babatuk-batukan ko siya, hindi ko magawa,” he says. “Naging magka-roommate kasi kami rito at ang paniwala ko, lalaki rin siya, bading nga lang, so I treat him as one of the boys kaya binabatuk-batukan ko kunwari. I can’t do it right so inabot ng 8 takes. Regine assured me na okay lang sa kanya kahit batukan ko siya, kaya nagkalakas loob akong totohanin ang eksena. It’s one of the funniest scenes in the show kaya abangan nyo.”
His role as Kenneth is something he has never done before. “For a change, nagpatubo ako rito ng goatee and moustache. Ang challenge dito is how to make it convincing na mai-in love ako kay Regine even if I know na bading siyang si Tonette and not a real woman. Dahil dun, I will also question my sexual preference.”
