Eric Quizon awed by TV 5's support

ERIC QUIZON, director of the outgoing TV 5 show “My Driver Sweet Lover” and the incoming “Babaeng Hampaslupa”, is awed by the grandiose presscon the Kapatid network hosted for the latter at City Best Resto. All sorts of showbiz writers and photographers were invited. Everyone was dressed in red and there was a dragon and lion dance inside the dining hall.

“The show itself is really big,” he tells us. “Ang daming malalaking eksena na full of action, explosions and dramatic confrontations. May nagsabing para raw itong ‘Mano Po’, but it’s really different kasi it’s about two warring Chinese families: the See family headed by Susan Roces and the Wong family headed by Freddie Webb. I’m co directing it with Joyce Bernal at maganda ang teamwork namin. She directs the squatter scenes in Smokey Mountain and I direct the scenes involving the rich characters.”

He prays that the show will air on time at 9 PM starting February 7. “Importante yun for it to be a habit for viewers. Mahirap yung hindi nila alam kung anong oras ba talaga papasok ang ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’ dahil laging overtime ang sinusundan nitong show. But I also want to remind viwers na last week ng ‘My Driver Sweet Lover’ ngayon and there’ll be a lot of explosive highlights and revelations involving JC De Vera, Danita Paner and the cruel stepmom played by Dina Bonnevie.”

The show is where JC and Danita became sweethearts in real life.
