LOUISE DE LOS Reyes has to give up her role in “Tween Hearts” now that she’s launched solo in “Alakdana” to star airing on Monday after “Eat Bulaga”. “Pareho kasi ang taping days for both shows so I had to resign from ‘Tween Hearts’,” she says.
Is it true her co-stars in ‘Tween Hearts’ like Barbie Forteza and Bea Binene are sore at her for being chosen to play “Alakdana”? “May nagsasabi but I don’t think masama loob nila sa’kin kasi maganda pa rin ang samahan namin sa ‘Tween Hearts’ bago ako umalis. Honestly, feel ko ring tapusin na yung pa-tweetams kasi I’m the eldest dun sa group. Both Barbie and Bea are only 13. Ako naman, 17 na. I think this is also the right time for me to grow as an actress. Maganda ang role ko as Adana, the girl born na may buntot ng alakdan. Maraming dramatic scenes at hindi the usual teen stuff lang.”
Why was Louise the one selected and not the other Tween girls? “We saw a great potential in her,” says program manager Cheryl Ching Sy. “Hindi naman naming pinababayaan yung iba. Lahat sila, may kanya-kanyang tamang panahon at project na babagay sa kanila. Ito ang bumagay kay Louise so she’s the one we chose to play ‘Alakdana’.”
She has three leading men in “Alakdana”. We ask them what they can say about Louise? Paulo Avelino who plays Billy, her one true love: “She’s very promising. In every scene we did, makikitang may patutunguhan siya as an actress.” Ritchie Paul Gutierrez who plays Gabriel, Paulo’s assistant who also falls for Louise: “Okay siya, masarap katrabaho kaya masaya kami sa set.” Alden Richards who plays Joma, the childhood friend secretly in love with Louise: “We have many scenes together and we’re comfortable kasi we’ve worked na before in a TV commercial. She’s very professional.”
