WE THOUGHT RYZA CENON is one of the leads in “Machete” that starts its telecast tomorrow night. But it turns out she actually plays villain to Bela Padilla who’s the really leading lady playing dual roles no less as Machete’s first love, Aginaya, and the resurrected Rosella. As the sculptor Marla, she’ll steal the credit from Bela as the woman who gave life to Aljur Abrenica in the story. She also oppresses Bela ever since they were small kids. “Okay lang namang kontrabida ang role ko,” she says. “Maganda naman ang exposure ko as the malditang Marla and I’m a vital part of the story. Kung wala si Marla, wala rin si Machete kasi ang nag-carve sa statue niya mula sa pinutol na puno.”
Ryza is said to be daring in Machete. How daring? “Lagi akong naka-short shorts and maliliit na blouses na nakalabas ang tiyan. Also, may kissing scenes kami ni Aljur na hinihipu-hipuan ko ang hubad niyang katawan as Machete.”
So what did she touch? “Yung abs niya. Matigaaas! Pasalamat siya’t masama ang pakiramdam ko when we taped that scene kaya hindi ko siya masyadong namanyak.”
So she’s now ready to pose for sexy men’s mags? “Ay, hindi pa rin. Di pa ko nakapagsuot ng two-piece bikini sa buong buhay ko. Hanggang shorts nga lang. At saka di pa ko confident sa katawan ko. Feeling ko, masyado kong payat. Mahirap namang I’ll agree to pose, but my heart is not in it.”
