MARIEL RODRIGUEZ is happy to be back hosting another noontime show on ABS, “Happy Yippe Yehey”. She’s also thankful that she’s given the chance to rebuild her friendship with Toni Gonzaga after they had a rift last year. “People ask kung nabalik na ang friendship namin sa dati na para bang ganun kadali yun,” she says. “It’s more like we’re starting anew. I’m confident magiging close kami uli like before. For me, it’s the friendship that matters so there’s an effort to reach out and ayusin ang lahat uli for it to work again.”
Her fans are excited for Mariel as she works along not only with Toni but also Randy Santiago, John Estrada, Melai Cantiveros, Bianca Manalo, Bentong, and Jobert. Many missed Mariel’s lively hosting and her fans were calling and texting her to return to hosting. “I’m so touched when I learned that my fans missed me so much and they were waiting for my comeback. I cannot disappoint them as I owe them my success. I can now say I’m happy and at peace with myself.” Mariel’s movie with husband Robin Padilla, “Tum, My Pledge of Love”, will be released next month by Star Cinema.
