Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal get married

THE STARS OF “Machete”, Aljur Abrenica, Kris Bernal, Bela Padilla and Ryza Cenon, were interviewed by Raymond Gutierrez in “Showbiz Central” last Sunday to promote the final weeks of their show. The fans of the Aljur-Kris love team will be thrilled to know they have a wedding scene in “Machete”, whose ratings went up in its late night slot so it’s extended until March 25, to be replaced by the new “Captain Barbell”. Machete will realize that he really loves Kris as Jessa after she was shot by Paolo Contis as Homer and nearly died. Ryza announced in “Showbiz Central” that, as the sculptor Marla, she will create a new adversary for Aljur who’ll be his deadliest opponent of all to make the last few episodes action-filled.

Meantime, Aljur is flattered that seasoned designer Nono Palmos from Miagao has chosen him as the young actor he enjoys dressing up today. “I really enjoy working with him as he finds ways to transform himself with each assignment given to him,” says Nono who dressed up Aljur when he represented the country recently in an international modelling competition in Seoul, Korea. “He’s a hunk with good bone structure and a body so well proportioned it’s suited well to wearing clothes of high quality.” Nono has his own hablon-weaving business and has worked with top actresses like Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor and Dina Bonnevie before, making them elegant gowns with delicate Filipiniana design. “I admire Vilma for her knowledge of herself and her keen eye on details, Nora for her being daring and experimental, and Dina for her utmost femininity that surfaces even if you dress her up in a suit.”
