SEN. BONG REVILLA has started shooting “Ang Panday 2”, sequel to his hugely successful “Panday” entry to the 2009 Metro filmfest that won best picture and best actor for him. Again a co-production between his Imus Productions and GMA Films,
Iza Calzado will reprise her role as the mysterious Maria Makiling.
Rhian Ramos, who died in the first “Panday”, will reappear playing a different character. The newest leading lady is
Marian Rivera who had to fix her schedule first before she gave her nod as she’ll also be so busy taping her new epicserye, “Amaya”. Phillip Salvador will recreate his role as the main villain Lizardo. Added to the big cast are
Aljur Abrenica and Kris Bernal, Eddie Garcia, Jackielou Blanco, Benjie Paras and child stars Buboy Villar and Sabrina Man, still under the direction of Mac Alejandre. They built a new set in the mountains of Tanay for the film and Bong wants to finish principal photography early so that they can polish all the computer generated special effects that will be added into it later and which he wants to be in 3-D no less.
