LAUREN YOUNG couldn’t believe it when told she’d reprise the role of Claudine Barretto in the remake of the 1997 teleserye, “Mula sa Puso”, which is inspired by the success of “Mara Clara”. People tell her: “Naunahan mo pa ang ate mong si Megan Young na mai-launch ng ABS.” Her leading men who’d do the roles of Diether Ocampo and the late Rico Yan are Enrique Gil and JM de Guzman. “It’s a blessing,” says Lauren. “Pero siempre, nakaka-tense din dahil mabigat ang role at may pressure n asana, we’d be as successful as the original. Lalo rin akong kinakabahan when they say I’m the new Claudine. I’m sure it can’t be avoided that we’d be compared. Pero dahil sa pressure, I’m more inspired to to give my best para di naman ako mapahiya sa ABS for their trust in me.”
Supporting them in the show are Dawn Zulueta, Eula Valdes, Ariel Rivera, DJ Durano, Tyrone Perez, Paul Salas and Sue Ramirez, directed by Wenn Deramas, who also megged the original.
