Lolit Solis on the romance between her and Joey de Leon

LOLIT SOLIS is now seen on TV Monday to Friday in “Tweetbiz Insiders” on GMA News TV Channel 11, 10:30 AM and 7 PM, and on Saturdays on GMA-7’s “Startalk”. So where is she happier? “Siempre sa ‘Startalk’ kasi mas malaki ang pay. Kinuha nila ko sa ‘Tweetbiz’ after maalis si Mr. Fu kasi lagi kaming nakikikain ng driver kong si Junior sa set nila,” she says. “Lagi silang maraming food: almusal, lunch, dinner at merienda pa. Kahit nga on cam, kumakain pa rin ako ngayon. Enjoy rin ako kasi masaya lahat ng kasama ko rito, led by Tim Yap who is so pleasant, a good team player, mahusay makisama. Si Gelli de Belen naman, maliit pa, kilala ko na ng sumasama siya kay Janice.”

Joey de Leon in ‘Startalk’ often acts like they’re having an affair. “Oo nga. Sabi ng mga pamangkin ko, yuck, nakakadiri, antatanda nyo na. Sa’kin okay lang, mahirap kasing sagutin si Joey at pikon yun. Nakikita ko namang enjoy siya in our company kasi he’s so at home compared sa ‘Mel & Joey’ na very formal siya.”

Born on May 20, 1947, Lolit started her career as a reporter in the late 60s. She handles the last segment of “Tweetbiz Insiders” called Say ni Manay, where she shares her opinion about controversial topics of the day. She’s a single mom with two daughters fondly called Sneezy, now 38, and Sloopy, 36. Both are married. Sneezy lives in Washington DC and has an 8-year old son, Kinsey, Lolit’s only apo. Sloopy is childless and lives in New York.
