Mark Anthony Fernandez is now also added in “I Heart U Pare” in the role of a cop, the cousin of Marc Abaya, who falls in love with Regine Velasquez as Tonette. Mark’s previous shows with Regine, “Ako si Kim Sam Soon” and “Diva” are both big hits, so he’s a welcome addition to “I Heart U Pare”.
Regine also undergoes a transformation in the show as Dingdong Dantes wants her to really act as a man and not as a bading. “Actually, mas madali palang mag-ayos ng lalaki kaysa sa bakla,” says Regine. “Nilagyan lang ako ng bigote, pinahaba ang sideburns ko and I’m made to wear a wig na parang lalaki. Pati make-up ko, hindi makapal. Unlike kung bakla, bonggang-bongga costume at pati make up ko. As a man, patuturuan ako ni Dong ng boxing at yayain akong mag-inuman kami ng alak.”
With “Machete” ending tonight, GMA-7 will have a vacant slot in its primetime slot for one week since “Captain Barbell” will start on March 28 yet. While waiting for “Captain Barbell”, they will show the very timely docus, “Anatomy of a Disaster”, that will give viewers valuable advice on how to be prepared for natural calamities like earthquakes, typhoons and tsunamis.
