Is she sure she’s not an Ice Queen in bed? “Based on my past experience, wala namang nagreklamo.”
Even her ex hubby Yilmaz Bektas? “Naku, let’s not include him na lang at react na naman ng react. When I said he was my greatest love but not my forever love, he called me and asked: Why? Are you still waiting for another man? I didn’t answer him anymore. As far as I’m concerned, lumang-luma na siya.”
She’s very serious with her interpretation of her role as network CEO Ms. O in “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak” and had a one-on-one acting workshop with award-winning actress-director Gina Alajar. “I played a loud and bitchy character as Daniela in ‘Betty La Fea’, so this time, ginawa naming well loved si Ms. O, di palasigaw, but nasa loob ang kulo, pailalim kung kumilos. Binago even my look. I got a new hairstyle and I only wear outfits na black, red and gold. I told the show’s writers to later give me scenes na maraming dramahan, sampalan, o yung may mga pinapakain ng lupa like in ‘Babaeng Hampaslupa’, para mas madrama.”
Does she get a separate budget for her clothes? “No, I spend my own money, but I’m glad TV5 is shouldering the expenses for my hair and make up. Magastos talaga ngayon. Before, hair and make up artist mo, isa lang. Now, magkaiba na sila and you have to get a stylist pa. Sa ‘The Buzz’ noon, akong nagbabayad sa kanilang lahat and with 30% commission pa for my mom, halos wala ng natitira sa talent fee ko. Sa ‘Paparazzi’, TV 5 also pays for my hair and makeup but iba-ibang stylists ko: Bea Constantino, Sydney Yap and Alyanna Martinez.”
