SHERYL CRUZ was last seen on GMA-7 as the villain Fabiola in “The Last Prince”. She’s now with TV5 in the new dramaserye, “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak”. “Nagpaalam ako kay Ms. Redgie Magno ng GMA at pinayagan naman ako,” she says. “I want to try naman new directors like Cris Pablo and Jon Red, new co-stars like Ruffa Gutierrez and Richard Gomez na ngayon ko pa lang makakasama. Maganda ang role ko in ‘Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak’, which is straight drama and not a fantasy, as Rosal, a flower shop owner in the province na against sa mga anak niya going into dancing. Yun pala, may back story siya and it’ll revealed later in the show.”
She enjoys working with TV5. “I first guested in their ‘Untold Stories’ and it’s a very challenging role as the wife of a very sick husband, Bernard Palanca. My Tita Susan (Roces) is now also in their Babaeng Hampaslupa and she’s so good as the Chinese tycoon, Helena Sy. Idol ko nga siya. I just herd I’ll be guesting in that show as the young Helena in her flashbacks, again with Bernard as the young Eddie Garcia.” How are her two brothers, Renzo and Patrick? “Kuya Wowie has two daughters often mistook as my kids as they look like me. When they’re with my daughter Ashley, they look like sisters. Patrick naman is in the States, married also, but no kids yet. They just have dogs now.”
