Two Angels in the life of Azkals Phil Younghusband

SOME FOLKS are accusing Phil Younghusband of the Azkals of being a kiss and tell, publicity-hungry user for revealing he has dated Angel Locsin three times. “I was just asked about it and I gave an answer,” he says. “I didn’t know it’d be bad. I was also accused then of using Rhian Ramos when I was asked who’s my crush. If I wouldn’t give an answer, I’m sure they’ll also get mad with me. As for Angel, it’s not really a formal date yet but more just like hanging out and always, we’re with family and friends, not really in public. We’re just getting to know each other and I can definitely say we’re not together.”

Phil is 23 and Angel is 26. He’s the one who initiated their friendship when he asked Angel to go out on Twitter, which was picked up by the press. So will he see her again? “Right now, I’m so busy training for the AFC Challenge Cup. After the high-altitude training we did in Baguio last week, we’re going to Japan this Monday (tomorrow) for more training then we go to Mongolia for the actual match. Hopefully, when the Azkals return, we might go out again. We can’t really plan anything as of now.”

Meanwhile, another Angel, Angelica Panganiban, was attacked by ardent Phil fans on the net after she Twitted that Phil should focus on playing football and not entertain thoughts of being an actor. She wrote: “Akala ko ba football player siya? Lahat na lang nag-artista na. Sad.” She even compared Phil to other football players like Wayne Rooney who doesn’t dabble into acting. “Busy lang sila sa kakapractice para manalo. Kung gusto pala niya mag-artista, sana di na lang siya mag-football. Magaling siya sa football. Stick to that muna.” Because of her statement, she got a lot of hate messages and she and BF Derek Ramsay are said to be so miffed they’re thinking of filing charges against these people.
