AGA MUHLACH was officially welcomed by TV5 with a dinner presscon at Annabel’s after signing a 3-year contract with them. They prepared an AVP for him tracing his career from being a child actor in “May Lalaki sa Ilalim ng Kama Ko” and teen star in “Bagets” until he won best actor awards for “Sinungaling Mong Puso” and “Sana Maulit Muli”. Other TV5 stars then welcomed him like Ruffa Gutierrez, Wendell Ramos, Alice Dixson, Alex Gonzaga and expressed their desire to work with him soon. “TV5 is really proud to have you as a Kapatid,” says entertainment head Perci Intalan.
So what’s in store for him? “May tatlong malalaking shows akong gagawin na puro di ko pa nagagawa before,” says Aga who has lost weight since we last saw him. “We can’t reveal the details yet but the first, a new franchise reality show, is slated for June. Then I’ll do a drama in August or September and the last one will be for next year na. I’m happy because they gave me the freedom to choose the people I’ll work with na yung iba, wala pa rito, papunta pa lang, even the directors I want to work with.”
Is it true it’s Willie Revillame who enticed him to move to TV5 and convinced him by giving him a car? “No, walang kinalaman si Willie. Pero totoong binigyan niya ko ng kotse kasi naglambing ako sa kanya na ikaw, kung sino-sinong binibigyan mo diyan, akong bigyan mo, and he did. I informed ABS nang maayos that I’m moving. Hindi ako nagpaalam for them to stop me and we haggle. Basta I told them I’m moving as I want something different and TV5 is offering me so many wonderful things. I’ll also do a movie with them in December for Studio 5.” He implies he chose to move as he’s not happy anymore with ABS, but he won’t go into details anymore. “Basta I’ll always be thankful to them kasi diyan ako lumaki at tumanda.”
But Aga’s priority now is finishing the shoot of his two pending films, “Huling Sayaw” with Angel Locsin for Star Cinema that has 14 remaining days slated for a May release and “Of All the Things” with Regine Velasquez for Viva that 6 more shooting days.
