Summer is here but Backroom talents are not on vacation since they’re busy with various projects. Ai Ai de las Alas plays mom to Erich Gonzales in Maria la del Barrio and to Kim Chiu in “Binondo Girl”. She’ll also do a US tour in June with Pops Fernandez and endorses Maggi Magic Sarap, Mang Inasal and Gal’s Bakery. Erik Santos is doing a new album for Star Records and is seen Sundays on ASAP. He’ll have a show in Pagcor Olongapo tonight and will do BPI endorsement tour in Dumaguete on April 30, Cebu on May 7, Cagayan de Oro on May 28, Davao on June 4, and Cabanatuan on June 25. Bianca Gonzales is on SNN nightly, in TFC’s Connect and Cinema One’s Cinema News. She’s also active with UNICEF and Teach Kids To learn Foundation.
Mariel Rodriguez is hosting “Happy Yippe Yehey” and stars with hubby Robin Padilla in “Tum, My Pledge of Love” that is now showing. She endorses Meg and Calayan. Bossa Nova Queen Sitti is busy with corporate and provincial shows. She’s in Naga on April 14, Legaspi City on April 16. She sings live at Cafe Lupe Sumulong Antipolo Thursday nights. Funnyman Pooh of Banana Split will have a show with K Brosas at Villa Caceres Naga on April 1 and Party Place San Fernando Pampanga on May 6. K Brosas is also in “Maria la del Barrio”. Gelli de Belen is in “Bampirella” and “Tweetbiz” while Ariel is “Mula sa Puso”, with Dawn Zulueta, who’s also in the Sarah Geronimo film, “Catch Me, I’m in Love”.
