Richard Gutierrez, Liz Uy and her own mom, all wishing her well now that she has decided to join showbiz. Raymond says that there’s an internet campaign for her to join a beauty pageant, but her own mom is against the idea. “Okay lang kung maraming actresses in our family,” says Gloria, the country’s first Miss Universe winner in 1969. “But yung pagiging Miss Philippines, tama na ang isa sa family namin. Kasi we have a small house kaya isang korona lang ang puede.”
Isabelle herself doesn’t like to join a pageant. “Kaya ko ba yun?” she says. “The competition is very tough. Ang daming magagandang girls ngayon and, right now, I’d rather focus on my work on GMA-7.”
