Heart Evangelista admits she's more maarte when she was still with ABS-CBN

HEART EVANGELISTA is practising the Christian virtue of forgiveness this Holy Week. Her yaya of several months who lived with her in her condo unit suddenly vanished. She found out later that the yaya stole several things from her. “It’s really sad kasi matagal-tagal na siya sa’kin, nagtiwala ka na, napalapit na loob mo, tapos ganyan ang ginawa,” she sighs. “Pero hindi ko na pinahanap para idemanda. Mga damit lang naman at iba pang gamit ang kinuha, nothing really expensive, so pinatawad ko na lang. Okay na yun. Pero ayoko na munang magyaya, nakakapagod mag-invest ng emotion sa isang taong bigla ka na lang lalayasan. So ngayon, okay na kong magulo ang bahay ko. Pag may time si Daniel (Matsunaga, her BF), he helps me maglinis doon. Ang problema ko is my dog na bigay ni Daniel. Wala akong mapag-iwanan kaya I just take him with me kahit sa tapings ko.”

Heart is also now more communicative and open to the press. “That’s true. Kasi noon, sa ABS, they just brief us sa mga isasagot mo. But now, I realized, wala naman akong dapat itago kaya mas malapit na talaga ako sa tao. And I admit, noon, maarte talaga ako, lalo noong VJ pa ko. I’ve really mellowed. Sa bagay, maarte pa rin naman ako, pero nasa lugar na,” she laughs.

How come she was “urong-sulong” then in accepting “Temptation Island”? “That’s true. Kasi, the first role assigned to me requires me to do sexy scenes, like appearing on cam na hands ko lang ang itatakip sa dibdib ko. Sabi ko, hindi ko kaya. But when they assigned to me the Dina Bonnevie role na virginal and no sexy scenes, tinanggap ko agad. The role meant for me originally went to Lovi Poe, na sexy naman talaga, di ba?”

She had her last taping day in “Dwarfina” and feels sad the show is about to end. “Naging maganda ang samahan ng buong cast and I’ll really miss them all. Action-filled ang next few episodes leading to the finale kaya nahirapan din ako dahil I did a lot of swordfights. Napasabak ako sa action dito.”
