Born on September 8, 1982, he finished broadcast communications at PUP in 2003 and worked for a while as a car salesman, fastfood manager, and call center agent. “Idol ko si Nicole Hyala and I auditioned sa kanila. Three years ago, I started my own show at yun, nag-hit siya sa listeners.”
He’s now co-hosting “Star Box” on GMA-7 with Ali Sotto and twins MJ and MM Magno starting today at 9:45 AM, so you’d get to see how he looks. Ali says he also got an offer from ABS. How come he chose GMA? “Kasi laging may catering sila, masarap ang pagkain. Also, ABS wants me to give up my radio show. Sa GMA, okay lang kahit ituloy ko ito.”
His real name is John Gemperle. Papa Jack was an alias given to him by his boss on radio. He has a love child, a 6-year old daughter who lives with her mom. He has new girlfriend, Mimi, a free lance PR for politicians who’s also a single mom with her own son. He tried acting once in an indie movie with Valerie Concepcion, but hosting a TV show is something really new to him. How does he find Ali Sotto as co-host? “She may be older than us nina MJ and MM but when we talk, parang magkakaedad lang kami. Sa aming tatlo, she has the highest energy kaya hirap na hirap akong sabayan ang pagka-hyper niya.”
