Richard Gutierrez inspired by high rating of Captain Barbell

RICHARD GUTIERREZ has all reasons to be happy these days. After his blockbuster film “My Valentine Girls”, his new TV show, “Captain Barbell”, is also a big hit. The entire pilot week got an overall rating of 33% per the credible Nielsen Ratings and feedback from viewers is just great, from the new colourful new costume of Captain Barbell to the spectacular special effects. “Nakakatuwa talaga as GMA also told me na nakatulong ang mataas na ratings ng show namin right after ’24 Oras’ para tumaas din ang rating ng succeeding shows (“Dwarfina”, “I Heart You Pare”) at manguna uli ang GMA sa primetime,” says Richard. “We’re now doing everything to make sure the show gets more exciting to help maintain its high ratings. This week, more awesome action scenes are expected with me fighting TJ Trinidad as Taong Bakal, Ervic Vijandre as Kidlat and my brother Elvis as Gaston, with the help of Bea Binene as Misha and Jake Vargas. Ang ampon ko namang si Jillian Ward as Lelay will try to match me sa teacher niya, Lovi Poe as Althea. More superheroes and villains will also be introduced.”
