Sam Pinto dreams of playing Darna and Dyesebel

SAM PINTO IS happy to be part of “Captain Barbell” where she plays one of Richard Gutierrez’ allies with superpowers. “Pangarap ko talaga to play a superhero kaya dream come true ito for me,” she says. “Sana nga, balang araw, makaganap din ako sa roles ni Marian Rivera like Darna and Dyesebel. Bata pa kasi ko, napapanood ko na ang iba’t ibang versions niyan. This week in ‘Captain Barbell’, we’ll form the Liga ng Kalayaan of good superheroes who’ll be fighting the bad guys led by Christopher de Leon as Nero and TJ Trinidad as the Taong Bakal, along with Elvis Gutierrez as Gaston and Ervic Vijandre as Kidlat.”

She seems to be happy with her move to GMA-7. “Oo naman. Even in ‘Bubble Gang’, enjoy ako as part of the Bubblets with Jackie Rice, Gwen Zamora and Ellen Adarna. Talagang it’s so much fun to do the show with whole barkada led by Michael V and Ogie Alcasid na marami talagang naise-share sa amin when it comes to doing comedy. Sobrang galing nila and yet walang ere at all. Pag di ko maintindihan ang script in Tagalog, they even translate it into English for me para ma-gets ko.”

It’s reported there’s personally rivalry between her and the other Bubblets. “Not true. Agad kami naging friends. We even go out together after taping. Hiraman din kami ng make-up at accessories, kasama si Rufa Mae Quinto na mas senior but very helpful sa’ming lahat.”

Is it true she’s on with cager Simon Atkins since they have a picture kissing circulate on the net? “That was taken three years ago. We’re both from La Salle. Friends kami, nagpa-picture. Di ko pa balak mag-showbiz. E, ngayong artista na ko, ayan, inilabas ng isang friend namin. Pero wala yun.”
