BRAPANESE MODEL-actor Fabio Ide is now seen twice on Saturday nights. He plays Iza Calzado’s boss and ex-boyfriend in the hilarious new sitcom “Andres De Saya” that starts airing tonight after “24 Oras” and he is also with Eugene Domingo and Allan K in the late night show, “Comedy Bar”. The 25-year old Fabio was preparing to take up law but decided to be a professional model instead. “I have no regrets as being a model has taken me all over the world,” he says.
Of all the countries he’s been to, he likes the Philippines the most. “I like the people, the culture, and the great food here. Also, my ex-girlfriend was a Filipina so she was the first reason why I kept on coming back here. Now that I have a career here, masaya ako rito so I don’t know if I’d still leave, especially after Mother Lily got me to sign a contract with Regal.” How far is he willing to go sexy? “Sa TV, I do comedy so I don’t have to go sexy. But in films, like what Mother Lily said, it’s negotiable. Kung shirtless lang, okay naman.”
Who’d he like to work with in a movie? “Iza Calzado, as I can see she’s a great and talented actress. She was also the first local movie star I met the first time I came here in 2006 and she’s always nice to me so I’d love to work with her. We’re now doing comedy in ‘Andres de Saya’. Sana, sa movie, drama naman.”
