Julia Montes likes John Lloyd Cruz

HAS ‘MARA CLARA’ teen star Julia Montes really become a swellhead due to the huge success of her show? It’s reported she snubbed some fans in a fiesta and won’t have her picture taken with them. “That’s not true,” she says at the thanksgiving presscon of ‘Mara Clara’. “Hindi po ako ganun. Both Kathryn Bernardo and I, pinagbibigyan naming lahat ng gustong magpa-picture. Kaya lang, may times na nagmamadali yung mga nasa paligid namin, hinihila na kami pabalik sa sasakyan, so siguro yung ibang hindi nakapag-picture, akala ini-snub namin sila.”

She’s now being linked to Enchong Dee and Sam Milby. “Ang haba ng hair ko. Wala kaming communication ni Enchong, ni text or tawag, wala. As for Mr. Sam Milby, sa ‘ASAP’ lang kami nagkikita, so ewan ko kung bakit nali-link na ko sa kanya.”

She adds she has no crush on Enchong or Sam. “Ang crush ko talaga’t gusto ko makatrabaho, si John Lloyd Cruz.” She’s supposed to be paired with the late AJ Perez in the movie directed by Jerry Sineneng that she’s now shooting for Star Cinema. But now that AJ is gone, he’s replaced by Sam Concepcion. “Sayang nga po si AJ, napakabait pa naman niya. But okay naman si Sam.” What if he’d woo her? “Naku, wala po sa isip ko yan. I’m only 16, sa work and studies ko lang, ubos ng oras ko. Wala munang mga ligaw-ligaw.”

For its finale week, ‘Mara Clara’ will have big LCD screens in key cities where fans can watch the concluding episodes of the top-rating series: on May 30 at San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; May 31 at San Isidro, Taytay Rizal; June 1 at Julogan, Tanza Cavite; June 2 at Pleasant Hills, Mandaluyong City; and June 3 at Plaza Miranda, Quiapo. As each episode ends, a surprise lies ahead sure to entertain all the ‘Mara Clara’ fanatics.
