Katrina Halili wants to help Iwa Moto

KATRINA HALILI looks luscious at the second presscon of “Munting Heredera” where she plays a ruthless homewrecker who ruins the relationship of Mark Anthony Fernandez and Camille Prats. She’s more relazed now after finding a new calling as a counsellor of Gabriela women’s group to help victims of sexual abuse. “They told me that when I came out, nagkaroon ng lakas ng loob yung ibang victims na magsalita na rin,” she says. “Nagharap-harap kami at nag-share ng experiences namin. Iba kasi yung may masasabihan kang makaka-relate sa’yo at maiintindihan what you went through. Isa sa mga natulungan ko is a student na ni-rape ng friends niya then kinunan pa ng video. Dahil dun, na siya makapasok sa school.”

One colleague she wants to help is Iwa Moto. “She’s a friend kaya gusto kong mapayuhan to make her feel she’s not alone. Sa ganyang mga sitwasyon kasi, importanteng alam mong may karamay ka.”

She seemed to have been traumatized by what Hayden Kho did to her that she avoids having a boyfriend now. “Ayoko na. Kahit magka-crush, ayoko. Mas tahimik ang buhay ko kapag walang karelasyon. Trabaho na lang muna ko at pagtulong sa mga kapwa ko biktima.”

She’d like to thank Direk Maryo de los Reyes for always believing in her. “It’s really a pleasure to work with him again in ‘Munting Heredera’.” “The pleasure is mine,” says the director. “Ever since, maraming pinaghuhugutang damdamin si Katrina kaya masarap siyang katrabaho as she always delivers.”
