Keempee De Leon finds new girlfriend

KEEMPEE DE LEON plays another gay role in TV5’s re-imagining of “Iskul Bukol”. His role as Wacky is what maybe considered today’s version of Tonette Macho in the original show. “The difference is he’s out and out gay at ako naman, closet queen,” says Keempee. “Di ako makapagladlad dito kasi the school dean is my dad. I’m secretly in love here with Alwyn Uytingco, but he’s in love naman with Erika Padilla who is, in turn, in love with me not knowing badinger Z ako. It’s a crazy kind of a love triangle. This is not just a remake dahil updated ito for today’s generation of young viewers na lumaki sa cellfones, internet, twitter. Hindi ito slapstick but more like pinagsamang ‘Friends’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ ang humor.”

Keempee reveals that his love child, Samantha, is now 15 years old. “Yes, may teenager na ko at natutuwa siya kapag nakikita niyang nagbabading ako. She’s so pretty at inaalok ng mag-artista but I said, mag-aral na lang muna siya.” He also admits he has a new non-showbiz girlfriend who’s 14 years younger than him. “Two months pa lang kami and she’s from Cavite. She’s a UP graduate and works in a big company in Ortigas Center. But don’t ask her name na lang so she can maintain her privacy.”

How did they meet? “Nanood siya ng ‘Eat Bulaga’ and I saw agad na beauty siya. Doon kami nagkakilala and after that, naging regular ang communication namin. Her work entails travelling around the country and if I’m free, sinasamahan ko siya, pati sa pole dancing class niya. Even my daughter, boto sa kanya. I introduced them to each other at nagkahulihan sila agad ng loob.”

So do they intend to tie the knot soon? “Hindi muna. Bago pa lang kami and we’re still getting to know each other better. Also, gusto ko, magpatayo muna ng sariling bahay bago magpakasal.”

“Iskul Bukol” starts airing this Tuesday after “Mga Nagbabagang Bulaklak”. They’re hoping to come in at 10 PM but we doubt if this would happen. Now that Willie Revillame’s show is back on primetime, it goes overtime again, sometimes ending at past 10 PM. After that, “Babaeng Hampaslupa” is shown, followed by “Nagbabagang Bulaklak”. We won’t be surprised if “Iskul Bukol” would come in not on a Tuesday but on Wednesday, 12 midnight, which is sad since their kind of comedy show should be shown earlier as its market is really today’s young viewers. As such, we doubt if it’d rate at all in its very late time slot. Meantime, congrats to “Babaeng Hampaslupa” as it’s rating higher than Willie’s show even if it now starts so late. It got 8.2% compared to Willie’s 7.7% when Wil Time Bigtime started.
