Original Temptation Island' stars guest in the remake of the movie

TWO MEMBERS of the original cast of “Temptation Island” do cameo roles in the remake: Azenith Briones and Deborah Sun. Azenith’s role as a sexy con artist is now played by Marian Rivera while Deborah’s role is played by Rufa Mae Quinto. And what roles do they play in the remake? “I own the company of beauty products that organized the Miss Manila Sunshine Model Search kunsaan sumali sina Marian and the other girls,” says Azenith. “It was played by Lillian Laing in the original.”

“I play naman the mom of Solenn,” says Deborah. “Originally, si Anita Linda yun.”

We tell Deborah she was so effective as the villain who abuses Mona Louise Rey in “Munting Heredera”. “Marami nga nagsabi, even Direk Maryo de los Reyes. Mismo yung bata, natatakot na sa’kin at bago mag-take, maraming nararamdaman so I have to befriend her and tell her make believe lang yung pananakit ko sa kanya. Sayang nga, pinatay na yung character ko dun. But I’m now in ABS-CBN’s ‘Reputasyon’. Si Cristine Reyes naman ang inaapi ko roon.”

How are her two kids? “My eldest, Gelanie, nakakulong sa San Juan City Jail. Sinet up siya ng best friend niya dahil sa lalaki. Kawawa nga. Si Jam naman (her son with the late Jimi Melendez), nasa akin, lagi lang nasa bahay, nanonood ng TV.”
