THE FAMILY OF Richard Gutierrez quickly came to his defense when it was mistakenly reported on radio that he’s driving his Audi car when arrested for over speeding on Commonwealth Ave. on his way to the taping of “Captain Barbell” last Wednesday. But it wasn’t Chard who’s driving but a family driver. Through Twitter, his mom Annabelle Rama and siblings Ruffa and Raymond quickly corrected the wrong report. Salamat, mga dong at day.” Here’s what Ruffa wrote: “CLARIFICATION: ‘Twas our family driver, Mang Erning, who was caught by the MMDA for speeding and NOT my brother, Chard. 180 drivers were caught for overspeeding that day but ito lang ang ginawang issue because of my brother. Kaya huwag ma-excite ang mga haters! Before you retweet bad news, PLEASE get all your facts straight FIRST. Huwag masyadong excited to put our fellowmen down.” This is what Raymond said: “It’s unfair for artists and personalities to get that kind of harassment from government officials just because he was a passenger. (This is because the traffic enforcer taunted Richard and told him to use his powers as “Captain Barbell”.) Don’t spread hate! The issue with our driver wouldn’t have been in the news if my brother wasn’t a passenger. Get your facts straight before you spread anything! MMDA, before you spread things to the media for attention, please get your facts straight! Don’t make bastos comments and quit the harrasment. If I could only report the amount of times local cops and MMDA have tried to extort money from me. Don’t use celebrities to broadcast and imply that you’re doing your jobs. Pathetic.”
