Sid Lucero forbidden to love Marian Rivera

FOR SID LUCERO, starring in “Amaya” with Marian Rivera is a homecoming to GMA-7. “Dito talaga ako nag-start noon in 2003 in ‘Narito ang Puso Ko’ with Jolina Magdangal,” he says. “It wasn’t difficult to decide to move to GMA because ‘Amaya’ is such a great project, but I’ll always acknowledge the fact that I grew as an actor in ABS-CBN. My role as Bagani, the son of Gardo Versoza who’s the leader of the datus, is crucial to the story. My love story with Marian Rivera is a forbidden one as we come from warring tribes and she’s the one who’s prophesied to kill my father.”

The 28-year old Sid was in two of the biggest mainstream films made last year, “Emir” and “Rosario”, but he won two best actor awards for an indie digital film, “Muli”, where he played a gay college professor who engages in all sorts of controversial bed scenes with Cogie Domingo. He has also won awards for other indie films like “Donsol” and “Selda”. And he has his own share of intrigues. Recently, it was reported that he figured in a fight with a saleswoman in a hardware store. “My lawyers advised me not to talk about it as we have to wait first for the case they said they’ll file. All I can say for now is I’ll never hurt a woman.”

And what can he say about Albie Casino who called his half-sister, Andi Eigenmann, a cheater? “My sister doesn’t deserve that. If he had something to say, it’s not gentlemanly to say it on the internet.”
