Zoren Legaspi feels ok with daughter joining showbiz but Carmina is against it

ZOREN LEGASPI was introduced by Regal Films 21 years ago in “Student Body” with Jeffrey Santos and Aljon Jimenez when he was still a teener. Now at 40, Zoren remains slender as he’s a diligent tennis player. He has branched out from doing teen and action roles to dramatic soaps, like in “Nita Negrita” where he plays the husband of Lotlot de Leon and father of Barbie Forteza. “I’ve also done some directing on both TV and films,” he says. “Nami-miss ko na nga pagdidirek. Mahirap kasi magdrama, emotionally draining. Just like in ‘Nita Negrita’ which is on its last two weeks, kapag may drama scenes kami, I get really emotionally affected.”

His and Carmina Villaroel twin kids are now ten years old. Are they joining showbiz? “Yung girl, mahilig talaga. She sings and is very articulate. She can also go into broadcasting dahil para siyang si Vicky Morales when she talks. Carmina doesn’t want her to join showbiz but sa'kin, okay lang. I told Carmina kung yun talaga ang hilig ng bata, hindi naman namin ito mapipigilan. The boy is more inclined to sports. Mahilig sa tennis and has won in many tournaments.”
