6Cyclemind vocalist Ney Dmac goes solo in his Star Records album

NEY DIMACULANGAN is the vocalist of 6CycleMind who decided to go solo. He just came out with his debut solo album with Star Records called “Ney DMac” with 12 songs he himself composed and arranged. It was launched at Arnel Pineda’s bar at Timog, Rockville. So why did he go solo? “It’s an opportunity for me to grow as an artist,” he says. “Grade 6 pa lang ako, member na ko ng banda. It never occurred to me na magsosolo ako, but now that I was given the chance, di sige, i-try ko naman. I’m just happy to get more freedom doing my kind of music.”

His voice is easily identifiable as it helped his former band to be popular with such shows as “Prinsesa”, “Sandalan”, “Upside Down”, “Kasalanan” and “Kung Wala Na Nga”. In his new album, the potential hit cuts are “Shut Up”, “Sana”, “Tagapagligtas”, “Velvet Skies”, “Himig Mo”, and the likeable first single, “Ligaw”. Also in the album are “Kaya Mo”, the award-winning best theme song from the animate film “RPG Metanoia” that he did with Kean Cipriano and Tutti Caringal, and his duet with Yeng Constantino used in “Imortal”, “Walang Hanggan”. Ney’s album is now available at record bars nationwide and also on www.starrecords.ph for its digital copy. You can get updates from www.facebook.com/NeyOfficial.
