Alex Gonzaga signed up with Viva so she'd no longer be in the films of TV-5

ALEX GONZAGA is said to be the first choice to be in the cast of the TV5-Regal co-production for the Metro filmfest, “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”. But because she has already signed up a contract with Viva Films, she can no longer be included in her home TV studio’s filmfest entry and is replaced by Ritz Azul. “E, Viva po kasi ang unang nag-offer sa’kin ng movie contract,” she says. “Happy naman ako sa Viva, so okay lang. I’ll do a comedy soon.”

And she’s also happy with TV5. No doubt her exposure in “Babaeng Hampaslupa”, their first dramaserye, did her career a lot of good. Aside from that, she’s now also in “Juicy” and the new Saturday youth-oriented show “Hey, It’s Saberday”. What can she say about the negative feedback her Ate Toni got after revealing that Rachelle Ann Go and John Prats have broken up a long time ago. “Trabaho niya yun. So sabi ko, wag na lang niya pansinin. Nangyari nay an sa’kin before sa ‘Juicy’ when I commented on the Kim-Gerald reported breakup. May mga nag-react din. Ganun talaga. Part of the job. Hindi maiiwasan.”

In “Babaeng Hampaslupa”, she’s no longer a poor scavenger but has become a rich heiress with Susan Roces and Freddie Webb as Helena and George (who have gotten married) decided to transfer all their riches to her. “It’s harder to be rich, magastos,” she laughs. “Dati, mga simpleng T-shirt at maong lang ang suot ko, ngayon, kailangan, lagi akong bihis na bihis at maraming borloloy.”
