Duncan Ramos changes mind about leaving current manager

DUNCAN RAMOS is closely identified with Gary Valenciano as Gary’s wife is also his manager and he has guested in many of Gary’s shows. So many writers were curious when they learned Gary is not guesting in his concert on Saturday night, “Unleashing the Knight”, at Zirkoh Bar Morato tomorrow night. “Dapat po, guest ko siya talaga and gusto ko talagang nasa show ko siya,” says Duncan. “For some reason, biglang hindi siya pumuede. Hindi ko talaga alam kung bakit di natuloy ganung sabi niya noong i-invite ko siya two months ago, yes, of course, payag siya. Mas maganda sana kung may kahit konting support man lang kasi very important ito for me dahil first solo show ko, e siyang idolo ko ever since. E, ganun siguro talaga, life goes on.”

He says he has no “tampo” about this, but he later revealed he already informed Gary’s wife that he’s leaving their management team. “I told them it’s nothing personal at sana maintindihan nila this is about work.” As of this writing, though, he has already met with them and he has changed mind, choosing to stay with them. But he’s very grateful that, in contrast to Gary, it was so easy for him to invite Ai Ai de las Alas as special guest in his show. “Talagang hindi kami nagdalawang-salita ni Pangga Jobert Sucaldito, pumayag agad si Ms. Ai Ai kahit manggagaling pa siya on Saturday night sa finals ng ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’, kaya sobrang pasasalamat ko sa kanya.”

Ai Ai is known for making “chancing” when she performs with male performers, is he ready for this? “Yes, napanood ko na siya. Paghahandaan ko na lang,” he laughs. Tickets to Duncan’s concert on Saturday are available at the Zirkoh Bar gate.
