JC de Vera's show gives way to Robin Padilla's Guns and Roses

JC DE VERA just came out of the hospital after a week-long confinement due to upper respiratory infection that made him lose his voice. He feels sad that the airing of his “Utol Kong Hoodlum” was postponed from July to September. This is in deference to Robin Padilla who starred in the original “Utol Kong Hoodlum” movie and whose “Guns and Roses” will be up against “Utol”. But TV5 is not leaving JC jobless as he now topbills their new Saturday morning youth-oriented talk and variety show that starts today at 11AM, “Hey, It’s Saberdey”, meant to be a morning habit for students relaxing at home over the weekend.

Also in the show are Danita Paner (JC’s real life squeeze), Arci Munoz, Alex Gonzaga, Bagets stars AJ Muhlach, Aki Torio, Josh Padilla, Rico Dela Paz, Eula Caballero, Nadine Ilustre, Shy Carlos and Meg Imperial plus big production numbers from Ritz Azul, Martin Escudero, Rodjun Cruz, Gerald Santos, Morisette Amon, Krissha Viaje, Carla Humphries, Alyana and Anykka Asistio, Lucky Mercado, Edgar Allan Guzman, Dianne Medina, Star Factor Teens, New Born Divas and dance groups Man at Large, Limited Edition, Verve, and Create. This Saturday is a back-to-school treat featuring various cheerleading squads. An entertaining segments is Rainier Castillo’s “Trending,” where he interviews TV5 stars about their student life. Josh Padilla shares his escapades as a student in the special segment titled “Profiles.” There are also tips on hip fashion trends from Danita and instructional dance steps from Rodjun, Anykka, Christian and John in the segment “Step of the Week,” all directed by Al Quinn.
