THERE’S AN interview with Jennylyn Mercado’s biological mom in “The Buzz”. Her name is Jinkee and now lives in Dubai. Jen claims her adoptive mom Lydia is a cousin of her real mom but Jinkee, who’s an “Ingglisera”, denies this and said they’re not related at all. We’re just wondering: if they’re not at all related, why did she leave her daughter to Lydia?
When her parents separated, Jinkee went to Dubai to work as a DH while her dad, Noli Pineda, went to South Korea as a musician. Jen was only 6 months old then. She later became a victim of child abuse, reportedly by a man married by Jinkee who became her stepdad. Jinkee denies Jen’s allegations that she didn’t send any money to support her. She showed receipts of money transfers and an educational plan she got for Jen.
As for the alleged stepdad, Jinkee denied also that this is not true. “You have to find this guy. I want to meet this man.” She said never married anyone and she was never informed that Jen was a victim of child abuse. “It didn’t happen,” she added. How can she deny this when there’s a police report and what happened to Jen was published in the papers complete with fotos? It’s said the name of the man is Benjamin Necia and was an ex-BF of Jinkee who was already working abroad when the beatings happened.
She said she’s wondering why Jen came out with such allegations against her when they’ve been in constant communication for several months now and are even planning to see each other in person at the end of this month. As a parting shot for Jen, she left a cryptic message: “She knows the truth.”
Jen will answer all her mom’s statements in “Showbiz Central” this coming Sunday. The interview with her has already been taped and she’s crying most of the time as she feels so bad about her mom’s statements.
You can watch the full interview in “Showbiz Central”, along with an interview with her foster mom, Mommy Lydia, who was so hurt by Jinkee’s lies. “Bakit niya itinatatwa ang pagkakabugbog kay Jennylyn, e napabalita ito sa mga dyaryo? Ano yun? Imbento lang?” she said. “Wala siyang ginawa bilang ina. Ako, kahit di ko tunay na anak si Jennylyn, ilalaban ko siya ng patayan.”
This issue will drag on as it’s the kind of dramatic “labasan ng baho” that’s fodder for media and writers love to cultivate and cash in on.
