CARLA ABELLANA feels sad that “Magic Palayok” is ending this week as that means she and real life boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann will have to separate ways for the meantime. For their next project, they will be paired with other stars. “We both enjoyed doing ‘Magic Palayok’ kasi halos five months din ito sa ere,” she says. “We’ll miss our co-stars including Tita Cherie Gil, Chynna Ortaleza, Manilyn Reynes, Janice de Belen and child star Angeli Nicole Sanoy.”
They just had their last taping day and she’ll now concentrate on two films she’s currently shooting: “My Neighbor’s Wife” with Dennis Trillo and Jake Cuenca for Regal Entertainment directed by Jun Lana, and “Kingpin: The Asyong Salonga Story” where she co-stars with Laguna Gov. ER Ejercito in the title role, directed by Tikoy Aguiluz. She’s also included in the cast of the Studio 5-Regal co-production that’s an entry in the December filmfest, “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow”. “Nakakatuwa nga, kasi tuloy-tuloy ang trabaho ko, sa TV man o big screen.”
What can she say about Mother Lily’s threat to file a case against her because her manager, Arnold Vegafria, didn’t ask her permission to do the “Asyong” film when she has an exclusive contract with Regal? “Naku, misunderstanding lang yan na maaayos sa mabuting usapan.”
