CLAUDINE BARRETTO is being accused as the COD (cause of delay) of the taping of the new GMA telefantasya, “Iglot”, about a giant egg or itlog with a creature inside. One writer says it’s because she’s fat and she wants to reduce first. Another one says she’s not happy with the script and wants it to be revised to give her a bigger lead role. Still another one says it’s because she wants to go back to ABS-CBN and this will start with her granting an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN magazine “Star Studio” about current issues hounding her, like her often reported rocky marriage with Raymart Santiago and her recent feud with
Angelica Panganiban. But the director of “Iglot”, Gil Tejada, says Claudine doesn’t have anything to do with the delay. As of matter, she likes the script so much and has no complain about it at all, so it’s simply not true that she wants to have the script revised. She also likes her co-stars:
Jolina Magdangal, Marvin Agustin and
Luis Alandy. “We’ve already had a meeting and Claudine is excited with the project,” says Direk Gil. “Also, pumayat na siya so it’s also not true she has a weight problem. Kawawa naman si Claudine at siya pang sinisisi.”
How about her wanting to return to ABS? “She’s still under contract with GMA,” someone told us. “Kaya kahit totoong gusto niyang bumalik doon, di niya basta magagawa.”
It’s said the real reason why the show’s taping is delayed is because they have yet to cast the child stars in the cast. They’re searching for truly adorable kiddie actors to make sure the viewers will fall in love with them. GMA shows now have a lot of child stars in it. Aside from “Munting Heredera”, “Magic Palayok”, and “Iglot”, another new show with new child stars is “Footbulilit” that stars Claudine’s hubby, Raymart Santiago, as the coach in charge of tot football players.
