He started as a TV commercial and ramp model using his nickname, Jome (for Jomari). He was discovered by writer Neil de Guia while modelling for Bench. Born on Aug. 1, 1992, he never met his Lolo Vic who passed in 1988. “But I’m aware he’s a great actor and I saw one of his best films, ‘Kisapmata’.” He finished grade and high school in La Salle Alabang. In college, he took up fine arts in UST. “But only for one year, I realized I’m really more of a business person so I shifted to economics and corportate management at La Salle Taft. I’m now in third year.”
For TV, he signed up with TV5. “I auditioned for GMA’s ‘Amaya’. I was considered and they called me back. But on the day of their storycon, nataon sa final exams ko, so I didn’t make it. For me kasi, priority pa rin ang studies ko.” What kind of show or film would he like to do? “I’d like to try drama. I’m now taking an acting workshop to help me.”
Does he have a girlfriend? “Before. Six years kami, since we were in high school. We broke up six months ago as I realized mas malayo ang mararating ng career ko without a girlfriend.”
Mother Lily says she can feel he’ll make it big in showbiz. “He has the pedigree sa acting, educated, may charisma, parang Aga Muhlach or Richard Gomez ang dating niya.”
