SOLENN HEUSSAFF is scheduled to have surgery on her foot right after she finishes shooting all her scenes in “Temptation Island”. “We’re going back to the sand dunes in Paoay, Ilocos Norte on June 9 and we’ll shoot for three more days,” she says. “When we get back here, that’s when the doctor operates on my foot.” What’s wrong with her foot? “When we were doing ‘
Survivor Philippines’ in Thailand, I had a cut on my foot and I thought it has healed na but it turned out only the outside part is okay but inside, there’s still an infected wound. When I walk, may tapak ako na it’s very painful, like there’s a stone or pebble under the sole of my foot. Yun pala, there’s an infection and some ball of sand must have been left inside, so I have to let the doctor take it out. After the operation, I’m supposed to walk with a cane for two weeks for it to be fully healed.”
She plays the role originally played by beauty queen Bambi Arambulo in “Temptation Island”. “I’m a social climbing socialite. Mother ko si Deborah Sun, who played the role of the maid now played by Rufa Mae Quinto. She’s very helpful to me as she knows I’m new.”
What’s her most memorable scene in the desert? “The fight scene with Lovi Poe. She’s a bossy bitch na inaway kaming lahat. Director Chris Martinez told us to fight, walang choreography, basta we’re left on our own so we slapped each other, pulled each other’s hair, rolled in the sand like wrestlers. You’d think Lovi is thin but she’s so strong. We get to hurt each other unintentionally.”
