TJ Trinidad turns out to be Jillian Ward's long lost dad

IT’S TO TJ Trinidad’s credit as an actor that he is always convincing no matter what kind of role he is made to play. He’s really quite impressive as Gregor, one of the villains in “Captain Barbell” who becomes Metal Man. “First time ko to play a super villain and I’m really enjoying it,” he says. “Mabuti na lang, yung metal suit na sinusuot ko, it’s made of light material kaya hindi ako hirap mag-move when I’m wearing it. Pero yun nga lang, mainit talaga siya sa katawan kaya naliligo ako sa pawis after each take.”

As Gregor, he now figures in a love triangle with Richard Gutierrez as Teng and Lovi Poe as the teacher Althea whose best known student is Jillian Ward as Lelay. Will Lovi fall for him since Teng has no time for her and is so busy as Captain Barbell? There’ll also be a surprise twist in the story as it’ll be revealed that Gregor is really the long lost father of Jillian, who’s a ward of Teng. Jillian herself will soon be practising her own special powers as a child superhero called Super Lelay, who can copy the powers of the other super heroes around her.
