    "DEADLINE" officially selected entry in the Montreal World Film Festival in Quebec, Canada

    ASIDE FROM “Patikul”, Director Joel Lamangan has another film in the can awaiting release, “Deadline (The Reign of Impunity)”, about political warlords and the wanton killing of media people. It had its premiere night at SM North Edsa last week and now, it’s been officially selected as an entry at the Montreal World Film Festival in Quebec, Canada to be held from August 18 to 28. This courageous political drama stars Tirso Cruz III as the abusive governor of a Mindanao province who orders the murders of journalists who criticize him, along with Lovi Poe, Allen Dizon, TJ Trinidad and Ina Feleo. Direk Joel will attend the Montreal filmfest along with scriptwriter Boni Ilagan (who also wrote the award-winning “Dukot” for him), Allen Dizon and supervising producer Dennis Evangelista.
