Jericho Rosales leaving soon to study acting and auditions abroad

WE HEARD Jericho Rosales got an offer to do a soap with TV5. At the presscon of “I Dare You” that starts airing today before “Mula sa Puso”, he admitted he did think of being a freelancer working with other stations but he realized he just can’t leave ABS-CBN. “I thought it’d be nice to experience acting with stars of other networks for the growth of my career but I never seriously thought of moving elsewhere,” he says. “I have no reason to leave ABS as they’ve always shown na mahalaga ako sa kanila and that’s the more important thing than money.”

He says he’s leaving next month but only to take up an acting course in the U.S. “I’ll be back in September so we’re advancing episodes for ‘I Dare You’ before I leave. The Newport Beach Filmfest where my movie ‘I Love You Virus’ was shown opened new doors for me so I’ll audition there. Malay natin, makatsamba, so I feel I need to prepare in case God tells me na, okay, you can work abroad for a while. Dapat lang na mag-ready ako, right? But siempre, nasa Pilipinas pa rin ang puso ko.”

This is the reason why having a new lovelife is not priority for him right now. “Maraming opportunities coming my way, so bahala na muna si Lord sa’kin.” He’s excited with “I Dare You” as it’s his first reality show. “I like the concept as it aims to open the eyes of our celebrity friends to the harsh realities of the world around us. In the process, they’ll help improve the lives of our Kapamilyas in depressed areas like Isla Pulo na nakalutang sa isla ng basura, walang kuryente, mabaho, at nakahawak ako ng dumi ng taong nakakalat kunsaan-saan, pero marami kaming napulot na magagandang aral.”
