Luis Alandy and other stars graduate from culinary school

WE ATTENDED the graduation of five celebrities who took a basic cooking course and got special citations at Cuisinier Studio of Chef MaFe Seva at Timog Ave. near GMA-7. Luis Alandy is Most Willing to Learn and Best Friturier or Fry Cook, Marco Alcaraz is Nastiest Fillet Man and Best Entremetier or entree preparer, former Miss International Precious Lara Quigaman is Most Organized and Best Vegetable Cook, Rainier Castillo is Best Fish Monger and Turtle Man Awardee for being so slow, Edgar Allan Guzman is Best Soup Cook and Best Potato Masher, and Lucky Mark Mercado of Sakto is Best in Plating for Fillet Mignon and Most Makulit awardee. They served a special dinner for the guests that they themselves cooked. They all got a certificate of completion plus special gifts from Chef MaFe and Alaska.

All of them, except for Lara, are talents of Noel Ferrer who also produced the first Cinemalaya entry based on a popular novel, “Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me” by Eros Atalia which is scripted for the screen by Jerry Gracio and directed by Erick Salud. It stars Edgar Allan Guzman and Mercedes Cabral as Intoy and Jenny, friends who have sex on the condition that they will not fall in love with each other. This is the sexiest Cinemalaya entry with them engaging in four provocative bedscenes, supported by Mel Kimura, Simon Ibarra, Tolites Shalala Reyes, Evelyn Vargas, Malou Crisologo, Joseph Bitangcol, Victor Medina (son of Pen Medina), Jojo Saguin, Lucky Mark Mercado and the special participation of Luis Alandy. It’ll be shown on July 16 at Greenbelt 3, 1:30 PM, July 17 at CCP MKP Hall at 3:30 PM and Huseng Batute at 6:15 PM. July 18, its book and album launching will be held at 2:30 PM at CCP Main Theatre lobby followed by a 3:30 PM screening.
